Take a Bite

Hello Glam & Sassy loves! Anyone who has been to New York knows the endless amount of fun and excitement that it offers.  It is also the fashion capital of the world so that alone makes it one of my favorite cities.  I worked many years in fashion in the Big Apple so I look forward to getting back as much as possible now that I live on the opposite coast. I actually  just returned from a fabulous trip there to preview the W by Worth fall collection and I had no idea I could get so excited over a cool weather season in the middle of summer! As soon as I saw the versatile styles and felt the luxe fabrics, I was ready to come back to the 80 degree heat and start styling my clients for the months ahead.  Since I am all about instant glamification, I thought it best to start with the buy-now-wear-now styles we can rock in July and straight into fall.  Here are the styles you need not wait until September to enjoy.

Tastefully Bare:

During this sizzling season, we want to wear the least amount of clothing as possible…at least in public:)   I found some sexy sleeveless tops that I am having fun with now and also later in the year as layering pieces.  I am all about showing some skin but doing it with class.  A cute little cami or a beautiful drapey cowl neck tank are both perfect picks. The fabrics are as soft as our summer skin and the styles are year round appropriate. I am putting my clients, and myself, in these right away to ensure maximum enjoyment and plenty of room to go back for seconds and thirds!

Yummy Colors:

Summer is the season of color.  The palettes may change every year, but it is always lip smacking and refreshing after a long winter.  If you choose your colors right, you won’t be limited to wearing them just when the sun is out and the temps are high. Looking ahead to fall, we are seeing splashes of bold colors such as Chili and Royal Blue.  I am loving dresses in these color pops because they are easy to style now with a beige heel and later with a black boot. Which one do you crave?FullSizeRender(9)

Unwrap and Enjoy:

For all the ladies who hustle in their careers and social lives like me, I found something I have been looking for for a long time.  Check out this blouse that is professional for work, yet flirty enough for date night.  It is a faux wrap so it stays perfectly in place with just the slightest hint of a peek.  This unique combination of sophistication and sexiness is what makes this top, and all of us ladies, Glam & Sassy !

Summer Love

Hello Glam & Sassy loves! Summer is, without a doubt, my favorite season.  I live in southern California where we enjoy summer almost year round and I purposely landed on the coast when I moved here. Give me sun, give me water, give me seventy degrees every day and I am one happy camper…or “glamper” since these well manicured hands have never pitched a tent. The best thing about summer fashion is one piece dressing. It is easy and effortless the way it should be when something is right.  Here are three of my must have outfits for this season that I love.

A Quick Romp:

The romper is the rebel sister of the sundress. It is bold, fun, flirty and sexy…sounds like the perfect catch to me. And let’s talk summer color, shall we?  Nothing is better than a bright burst of hot pink!  It just seems to scream “let’s party!”As I am writing this, I realized I just described myself, so I think I better buy this one from Adelyn Rae at my happy place, Nordstrom! It is so me and it is so perfect for an afternoon summer soirée !

Hands on Skin:

This wouldn’t be the sexiest season of the year if we didn’t bare our bodies. That’s the reason for hitting the gym on the reg so slip into a sundress that shows off those shoulders, girl.  Lucky for us, Off the Shoulder is trending now and it is trending hard.  I love this dee elle dress and would style it for both day and evening  by changing up the heel and adding some sparkle.  You will stay cool and look chic at the same time. This flowy fabric begs to be touched.  The only thing softer than the material is your skin so expect to be caressed in this dress.

Dress a Mesh on the Floor:

What other time of year can you wear mesh as a dress besides summer? This style from W by Worth is actually two dresses in one.  Here is your Glam & Sassy clothing budget lesson for the day…take the price and divide it by two and you’ll realize that you can’t afford NOT to get it! This shift dress can be worn alone or with the mesh overlay. The mesh dress can also be worn separately as a bathing suit cover up.  I can picture it now and I hope you can too. It is as hot as summer itself…and very Glam & Sassy!

I’ve Got A Secret

Hello Glam & Sassy loves and Happy Thanksgiving! I enjoy this holiday because of 1) turkey and anything pumpkin, and 2) giving thanks.  I have many things for which I am thankful and one is the love and support I receive from family and friends, including social media friends, all of you,  and my 10k followers on Instagram. I have “met”  many fabulous people and products and it is always exciting to see what everyone is up to through photos.  Perhaps it is the voyeur in me, but then again, I suppose we all have that desire which is why social media is so hugely popular.  One of the brands that I took a peek at and really caught my attention  was the unique mix of sexy and sweet, Tyes by Tara.

Have you ever noticed it is really difficult to find something to adorn your gorgeous neckline in black???  I was looking for a choker that I could wear with anything from a basic white tee to a flirty black top.   Well, I just found the perfect piece! It is appropriately named, Secrets, a secretively sweet necklace, and after wearing it out in LA one night, I would concur! I definitely had few secrets to tell my BFF the next day!

There are so many things I like about this fabulously flirty “bowtye”.  It is lightweight, it is made in the USA (holla!) and when you wear it and post your pic on IG you can # GetTyed ! The little bows are darling, yet seductive. As your virtual personal stylist, I suggest it be the last thing you put on when you get dressed, and  the last thing you take off (insert winky face emoji here… haha)!  We women should feel confident and beautiful and not apologize for it.  Styling outfits with feminine accessories do just that, and for sure, it will be no secret, that you are Glam & Sassy.

24 hrs in Vegas

Glam & Sassy Girls in Glam & Sassy Dresses!
Glam & Sassy Girls in Glam & Sassy Dresses!
Britney!
Britney!
Hopped on a flight to see Britney “Piece of Me” on Saturday to Vegas, which is the equivalent of a party bus in the air…thank YOU, SWA! I am a big fan of the ease in which you can go from So-Cal to Sin City in an hour. So much better than driving the 4+ hours AND you can start cocktailing it up before you even arrive! Packing for a fun-filled 24 hours is also a breeze! Just follow these style tips and you’ll be ready for anything you want to do in this city that sparkles!

1) What to wear on the plane: skinny stretch jeans, sexy top, wedge sandals. This outfit will be both cute and comfortable for the flight and the arrival at your hotel. You want to be ready to hit the Strip/Casino/Forum Shops right after you claim your bed and marvel at the ginormous bathroom in your room!

1a) If it is pool weather, make sure you have a bikini and cover-up, albeit skimpy, at close reach so you don’t miss any of the good sun…and eye candy. I suggest throwing this in your handbag so you don’t even have to waste time unpacking.

2) What to wear to dinner/concert/club: A dress is ALWAYS the answer. Here’s why. Although the Bellagio looks close to the Wynn, it isn’t. And certainly not in the 6 inch heels I know you brought to look hot, elongate your legs and lift your butt! Therefore, a dress will take you from sushi at Tao to Britney to wherever you end up dancing till 5am.

3) What to wear to bed: This is a personal choice, but, for argument’s sake, let’s just say PJ’s and leave it at that.

4) What to wear the next morning/flight home: Jeans, colorful t-shirt and flip flops. Trust me on this one, your feet will thank you and you really won’t be able to force your throbbing toes into any kind of structured shoe after last night’s dance marathon…that is if you were even able to pry them off before bed. Oh, and definitely wear sunglasses! The flight home from Vegas is the one time it is totally acceptable to don sunglasses indoors without looking like a tool. They will hide the evidence of lack of sleep and dehydration and also help you catch 45 minutes of z’s before you touch down back to reality.

Fringe Benefits

Fun and Flirty Fringe Handbag
Fun and Flirty Fringe Handbag
I love fringe and was so excited to see this super fun and flirty trend still around this season! Maybe I love it because I enjoy dancing and this fantastic addition to a skirt, dress or handbag adds movement and flair. It catches the eye and makes a statement that says “I am sexy and cool with a touch of a free-spirit.”

This handbag is now my new every day fave. I carry it around town proudly and run my fingers through it occasionally to keep the long, luscious, genuine leather strands swinging freely about. Who needs a hair flip and a giggle when you have fringe and a smile? Grab one of these fabulous bags and watch how much more fun you have being Glam & Sassy!

Black is the new Black

“X is the new black”. We’ve all heard it. Whether “x” is black’s lighter version, grey, or some bold new color trend, I may embrace it for a season, but I will always resort back to black as the staple color of my wardrobe. There is no other color that is so chic, professional, and formal all in one. And let’s not forget flattering, which is probably the main reason we can all justify 12+ varieties of the LBD (Little Black Dress) hanging in our closet.

Black is also the easiest to accessorize because it is so versatile. Silver adds sparkle. Gold, glimmer. Or, if you like to stay on trend with the color palettes of each season, you can simply add a handbag or shoes as your pop of color. When I am styling a client wearing black, I see it as my blank canvas!

Check out this new outfit from Glam & Sassy. Head to toe black. Two lovely ladies. One sexy look and a color that is simply irreplaceable.
